I can understand why the parents moved and got their daughter out of that school. Poor kid! I just can't understand what is going through someone's head when they do things like this!!! How in the world do they think that is going to help at all? I'm glad the family got her out of there, but more needs to be done...I hope the parent's keep after this! OMG, poor child. Another school, that is abusing kids. That's a suspension! In an empty - assumably unmonitored room for 3 HOURS! For crying out loud - that is ridiculous! That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Goodness! Now why didn't anybody in that school know enough about autism to know what you can and cannot do to this poor child? How about a requirement for certain school personnel to have some required hours of up to date autism trainning? Concernedpa. I think all teachers should be required to be special ed trained, and then trained in some sort of general "this is not how you treat a child" class.. seriously! wow, thats scary. we need more education for teachers!!!!!!!
